Carolyn and family, thank you. The breakfast menu deserves a 10 out of 10, and we felt very spoiled. After a day of sightseeing, this cosy 1920s Grand old Lady was such a warm, comfortable place to come back to, right in the Historic Homes street. We loved everything about it.

Caroline welcomed us so warmly, and the breakfast was just what two tired travellers needed. My sister-in-law and I stayed for two nights, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. We wanted somewhere quiet as we came into Nelson, and with all the traffic I thought we'd picked badly, but the place is in a beautiful area and within walking distance of town. It was relaxing, and I'd recommend it 200%. Thank you, Caroline, for a wonderful stay. I'll recommend it to everyone. Cathy Aus.

Carolyn's breakfasts are legendary, cooked and presented to perfection. The room was clean, warm, and had the basics for making a cuppa. Nothing was too much trouble, and help was just a call bell away. A top-class establishment. If you get the chance, you must stay here. Thank you both for a wonderful stay.

They even gave us a lift to and from the airport, and the hosts were so kind and helpful. Breakfast had a great range of delicious choices, especially the pineapple waffles, which you won't regret trying. A beautiful place to stay. We'd definitely return and highly recommend it!
