Kings Gate Motel

The pool was great for a quick dip, and there’s a good sized space with a quiet BBQ by it. Our room was clean, the shower was lovely and warm, and it was nice and quiet. The hosts were beautiful and attended to all my needs. They made my child comfortable and treated him like he was their own. He especially loved the fresh milk in the fridge. We’ve stayed in a few motels, even in Australia, and loved this visit more than some of those. Everything was perfect, and we’d come back. Thank you Kingsgate.

I left after two of the three nights I’d booked. The hot water barely came out, and there was mould on the bathroom window and sill. A used tampon was on the floor by the shower, and several lights in the unit didn’t work. The bed and pillows were comfortable, but the spare blanket in the wardrobe was covered in suspicious-looking dirty spots.

The location was handy, close to the main shops, and the staff were really friendly. Our rooms were spacious and basic, but comfortable and suited us well for the two nights. The trampoline and swings were a nice way to keep our child occupied when we were relaxing.

The motel’s in a great spot, close to all the amenities, but we won’t be back. We had four rooms and every one was disgusting. In ours, the windows were too dirty to see through, the dishes were dirty, lights didn’t work, and there was dust everywhere. The garden was overgrown when we arrived, and inside was filthy too. Very disappointing.
