Apartments Paradiso

The Paradiso is about a ten minute walk from town, with a great organic store and coffee shop just a couple of minutes away. I had the best sleep of my trip: the bed was large and comfortable, the shower was good, and the internet was excellent and free. The laundry machines worked well, and there were clothes lines too. The hot tub looked scummy when we came in the evening, though our tour leader used it the next morning without a problem. Front desk staff were pleasant and quick to deal with any issues. I’d stay there again.

The owner let me check in early and hang out by the pool while I waited for my partner. They were accommodating and easy to relate to, making it feel like a friendly business rather than just a commercial service. The place was clean, spacious and had a good crowd when I was there. Breakfast was great, and I was given some noodles for tea when I arrived. The kitchen is huge, and the pool and spa are perfect. There’s a buzzy social atmosphere, but it gets quiet after ten. You can live your life and enjoy it here. I’ll definitely be back.

A really welcoming hostel for us, with a lovely manager and a good price. There’s a nice outdoor area where you can juggle, slackline or just relax by the pool, plus a little free breakfast every morning. Lovely place!

I wouldn’t recommend booking here. The rooms are okay, but nothing special. Some backpackers who live there do the cleaning, and they start at 9, an hour before the 10 o’clock checkout. You’re lucky if they’ll let you use the toilet, and there’s no chance of a shower after 9am. They close the kitchen around 9:15, which is stupid too. Most of them were very unfriendly, apart from the woman at reception. The showers are tiny, the toilets were dirty, and sometimes there was no toilet paper. The soup was gone by 6:05pm because there wasn’t enough. Breakfast was okay. Go somewhere else, or book a room with a bathroom, though those aren’t big either.
