Tony was a huge help when we stayed both before and after walking the Heaphy, especially with storing our extra luggage. The location worked well, near restaurants and the airport. Our room was very clean, and the little kitchen area had plenty of equipment. There are also good breakfast spots nearby if you'd rather eat out. I'd highly recommend it.

After a busy holiday, a few days here were just what we needed to unwind. It's a laid-back adults-only motel with a mature clientele and easy pool access, no code browns lol.

I have never dealt with people this awful. The owners were offensive and had no manners, and I hope they learn to treat people with respect, though at their age I doubt it. The man asked me a disgusting, perverted question, and his wife backed him up. I can only imagine how many other guests he has accosted. DO NOT STAY HERE. Edit to their response: I came to ask for an apology, and you mocked me like a 10-year-old boy. You kept mocking me as I walked out the door. Saying I was aggressive is simply untrue. And ONE guest who wasn't staying there entered the room. ONE. Don't lie about that either. You're in your 60s but act like children. This behaviour is actually insane. Your other low reviews are about childish, aggressive behaviour too, including one that says your wife had to physically hold you back. Maybe take heed and grow up.

Really, what's that about? I tried to book one night at this Nelson motel with children under 15 and was told they only accept children aged 15 or older. DO NOT STAY here if you're travelling with younger kids.

The staff were a big help, and the room was very tidy. Breakfast and lunch for the next day were spot on 👌
