We loved our first stay and will definitely come back to New Plymouth. We booked two one bedroom apartments for our family, and everything was spotless and clean. The rooms had all the kitchen equipment we needed, plus extra space with the lounge area. Perfect location near the beach, walkway, and town, and the owners were really lovely. Thank you Beach St Motel.

The owners/operators were so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I’ve stayed three times in the past fortnight, in different units, and wouldn’t go anywhere else next time I’m in New Plymouth. The units were spotless, well appointed, and had comfortable beds. It was quiet at night, with off street parking and a great location near Fitzroy Beach. There’s a supermarket on the corner and cafes just a few blocks away.

Just a two minute stroll to the beach, and the place was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. Highly recommend it, and we’ll definitely stay again.

This wasn’t an entire apartment as stated on booking.com. We’d paid for two nights but stayed only one after being told our children had to leave, so we left too. There was no flexibility to upgrade the room or pay extra. The only choices we were given were to remove the children or leave. We were left stranded and had to find another hotel in New Plymouth. In response to the owners/manager, as I said, we were given no other option but to leave, and there was no refund. I’m sure the owners/managers are really nice people in some circumstances, but they didn’t handle this situation properly. It was a weekday and the apartments weren’t busy. At the time of our stay, the information we gave about how many people were staying was accurate. But after a late night out seeing the beautiful New Plymouth lights, unforeseen circumstances meant my 12 year old brother and 8 year old sister had to stay with us. The owner/manager knocked on our door early in the morning and told my partner we had to leave, after seeing two extra kids walk into the room. There was no chance to upgrade, no chance at all. Some people may have a pleasant experience with Thi business, but my family and I won’t ever stay here again. There was no follow up communication and no full or partial refund. Absolute disgrace.

The room was comfortable and very clean, and the hosts were easy to deal with. Getting to the beach and coastal walkway was really convenient.
