The common dining lounge is cozy and spacious, and the bathrooms are clean and well maintained. There’s a washer and dryer for a small fee, plus plenty of room on the clothes line. The kitchen can get busy, which is understandable. In the morning, you can hear the lovely cicadas in the garden behind the Dorms. Street parking is available if the few lots are full.

On New Year's Eve, our private room booking wasn't registered because of a server error, even though we had a confirmation from hostel world. Luckily, they managed to fit us into a shared room. It was okay, and clean enough, but the hostel felt outdated and needed a lot of basic maintenance. It was hot and stuffy even on a rainy day. I've stayed in better hostels.

The view from the large common area is great, and the showers were nice and clean. I was only there for one night, but enjoyed my stay. The guy at reception was great and suggested the Festival of Lights for the evening, which was amazing and very cool. I didn't use the kitchen, though from what I saw it looked nice enough.

This was the worst guesthouse experience I've had. It's an old retirement home turned into a guesthouse, and it smells. The bathrooms are old and dirty, and the two rooms we were shown were an absolute mess. We booked a room for two beds in a bunk room, but the owner, Rachel, moved us to a different room, saying there wasn't availability, even though our reservation clearly said we'd both be in the same room. The reservation wasn't guaranteed. We hadn't been asked before the room conditions changed, so we requested a refund. The worker said we'd get one and should process it through booking.com, but Rachel refused. She also accused us of "bullying" her after we contacted YHA corporate office because YOU hadn't answered our email or phone call for a week. This 💩hole should lose its YHA partnership for being such a disgustingly run excuse for a guesthouse.

I’ve stayed here often for business over many years. It’s my own company, so I can afford a private room at around $55 YHA rate. The property’s getting a little old and tired, but it’s warm, clean and very cozy.
