Coronation Court Motel

The staff were friendly, and being near Pukekura park and not far from the CBD helped. But there were ants crawling up and down the shower side, sometimes getting onto our belongings. The soap dispenser was broken, there were marks on the carpet, and no power switches next to the main bed. The TV didn't work at first; someone came in to swap the boxes, and then it finally worked. The room was very dated, and even the teabags broke when we used them. I'd give it 3.5/10. It's okay as a basic room if you won't spend much time there, but it still left a lot to be desired.

The service was the one positive. The room was tidy, but the photos make it look better than it is, and I was very disappointed by the black mould on the bathroom ceiling.

Our host was really friendly and helpful, and this place was excellent value for money. My family and I booked three rooms for two nights, and after reading the reviews I was a little worried. I was pleasantly surprised: I've stayed in five-star hotels with less comfortable beds and showers that didn't compare. I'd recommend this place any time.

The funky little coffee shop & bubble tea is also run by the owners, and they make amazing drinks. We stayed for a week, and they included all the extra perks. Our family of five, two adults, two teens and a 10-year-old, needed somewhere really accessible, and the location was perfect. Service was top notch. We arrived late, but the owner had all the beds ready and the heater on. The beds were so comfortable, with electric blankets. The two bedrooms, lounge, bathroom and full kitchen were very clean, colourful and cozy. Best shower pressure I've ever had anywhere 😉 Thanks for the week-long stay. We'll tell family and friends about it for their travels.
