The park is right beside the beach and the coastal walking and biking track, and it’s an easy find. We stayed two nights on a powered site with our campervan, on a large elevated area with nice sea views. The powered sites are generous in size. The grounds were well kept, and staff monitored the rubbish bins and emptied them twice a day. The kitchen, toilets and shower were all good and kept clean, and there’s a good-sized laundry area. Electronic entry is used for the park and facilities, including toilets and showers. Town is close enough for shopping or cafes, and Rewa bridge isn’t far. We got around on electric scooters.

The kids loved the open field across from our site, and the communal areas were clean. It was all convenient for us, especially the free hot showers with no timer, which was really helpful with small children. We also loved being right along the coastal walkway, close to town and different places to go and things to do.

I got lucky with a tent spot up the hill, with a nice view. The sites are large, and the facilities felt clean and secure. The cycle way and beach literally border the campgrounds. There’s a useful kitchen, though I’d bring your own utensils and cutlery. Warm showers, but no soap, laundry for a fee, and play areas for kids including a jumping pillow.

We’re back for our second year camping here, this time on a non-powered site. We love the campgrounds and the location, and the facilities are amazing and well maintained. Bring your bikes, the paths are so fun!

The beach is just metres away, and it’s a perfect city campsite. Staff were friendly and really helpful when we were choosing a great site overlooking the beach. The facilities were lovely and clean, very modern, and the hot showers are free.
