The quiet neighbourhood is fewer than 10 minutes from New Plymouth centre and about half an hour from Mt Taranaki. I found it clean and comfortable, with easy check-in, free parking and wi-fi, and breakfast included. Really good value, and it exceeded my expectations.

The outdoor area was private and stunning, and having a spa to choose from was a lovely bonus. Carol was very friendly, and the property was in tip-top condition. Breakfast was included in the cost, with cereals, bread, condiments, fruit and yogurt. The bed was super comfy too, so they clearly spared no expense there. A real hidden gem. Highly recommend it, and we’ll be back.

We used this as a base while travelling all around Taranaki for the garden festival, and the location worked excellently. The property was very clean and generously sized, and the host was great. Breakfast was a typical “kiwi” continental spread, included in the room price.

The host was really friendly and accommodating. We had a comfortable room, breakfast was supplied, and getting to use the spa pool was an added bonus. Highly recommend it, and I’ll definitely stay again when I visit NP.
