I arrived fairly late after a full day, and was greeted warmly. The restaurant had closed, but the bar was still serving food. They went out of their way to make me a delicious gluten-free dish, brought it with a smile, and packed the leftovers for me when I couldn't finish. Breakfast starts early, which is great if you need to be at work around 7am. I recommend the Eggs Benedict. I can't really comment on the location, since it was dark when I arrived and still nearly dark when I left.

The hotel has free cycles to borrow, handy for the coastal walk way, which is 28km there and back and only a few minutes away. Staff were really helpful, and breakfast and the location were good too. We had a lovely Executive Room, though those other things were the best parts of the hotel.

During a very hard time, the staff made my stay feel effortless. My husband was in Taranaki Base Hospital for emergency surgery, and they went above and beyond to handle my many requests. The manager even gave me a direct number while I was coordinating everything. After one especially tough day, Rohit came to my door with cold milk and fresh cookies, which lifted my spirits. I can't say enough about the cleanliness, service, and helpful people there. I'm so glad I chose this property.

New Plymouth seems like a friendly town with plenty to do nearby, though unfortunately it was cloudy and rainy during our visit. The hotel was easy to find, and after a long drive from Auckland via Hobbiton, the staff were kind and welcoming. Our room was spacious and clean, and the on-site restaurant, Haukai, was excellent. Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area. S&K from 🇨🇦

We had a lovely stay at Novotel. It's a short walk to the main street, shops, and cafes, and checkout was quick and friendly. At reception we were welcomed by a friendly staff member. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with good appointments and a well-stocked supply of tea, coffee, and minibar items. Breakfast in the restaurant was delicious, with a good buffet selection of fresh fruit, cereals, and hot food. Thanks to Novotel and the whole team!
