We were made to feel welcome and stayed extremely comfortable for over a week. The spectacular garden is cared for so well, with lots of attention to detail from passionate gardeners. The place is close to everything yet tucked away, and you can get around on foot, by bicycle if you’re fit, or by car. We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more.

Shane and Mel were great hosts, and we explored the city on pushbikes. The garden is amazing, especially after dark. Everything was to a high standard, making this one of the best places we stayed during our time in NZ. We can highly recommend this B&B.

The garden was a lovely outlook from our first-class accommodation, with Shane's sculptures and the lovely lighting at night making it even better. Mel & Shane are excellent hosts. Thanks for a memorable stay in the Naki.

The garden has a lovely atmosphere, even though it’s quite small. I visited during the day, so didn’t see the lighting display. I imagine it’s pretty, so perhaps nighttime would be better.
