The apartment was better in person than it looked in the photos, and we even got fresh milk when we checked in! It was well equipped, with a large fridge, modern kitchen, lovely bathroom, comfortable armchairs, and an electric blanket on the bed. We had a wonderful night at The Strand Motel Apartments in New Plymouth. If we come back, we’ll definitely book there again.

We could park right outside the door, and our private patio came furnished. The one-bedroom unit had lovely decor and was very clean, with crisp white sheets. You could tell they take pride in looking after guests. The rate was excellent, so we could afford to stay three nights. Thanks for a great trip to New Plymouth.

We booked at the last minute and were thrilled with the layout. It worked perfectly for three adults, our three-year-old granddaughter, and our baby grandson. Everything we needed was there, the place was spotless, and even the lighting was user friendly, which you don’t often get in a motel. Thanks, The Strand. We’ll book again.

It’s a great property with parking, and getting to the city centre is a quick Uber ride, though the place is a bit outside it. I’d have preferred keyless entry with cards, fobs, or pin codes instead of a regular key. Just my personal taste, but I also would’ve liked fake grass in the outdoor area rather than only concrete.
