Such a lovely place in a green part of Auckland, with incredible views over the forest and sea from the balcony. My friend and I had a relaxing sauna, then a delicious cooked breakfast. The room was beautiful, super tidy and had a warm, welcoming feel. Fresh homemade cookies were waiting too. Thanks so much, Vera! Hopefully we’ll meet your better half next time. We’ll be back. Bis bald! :) Steffie und Tina

Doris and Ned made me feel at home straight away. They’re welcoming, hospitable and such an interesting couple. The house sits in a peaceful setting surrounded by bush, with lovely views and lots of birdlife. Breakfast was great, especially the perfectly poached eggs, and I also shared a delicious vegetarian dinner with them. I enjoyed our conversations and the lovely walk through nearby Fernglen Gardens. I wish I’d stayed longer, and I will next time!

Had a really relaxing, amazing time. Hard to believe somewhere this peaceful is so close to all the hustle and bustle. I’ll definitely come back.
