Alan and Susie made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived for our honeymoon in New Zealand. Their hospitality made Manuka Lodge feel like a home away from home, and we look back on the stay so fondly. They took time to tell us about local highlights, and their thoughtful suggestions helped us find places we might otherwise have missed. Our room was beautifully decorated, spotless and very well appointed, with everything we needed to relax after travelling. Each morning started with a delicious freshly prepared breakfast made with care. Nothing was missing. We wholeheartedly recommend this gem.

The reviews sounded exaggerated, but they turned out to be right. Alan and Susie have made this a 10/10 bed and breakfast, surrounded by nature, with countryside views and, when the weather allows, a view of the biggest volcano. Shops and restaurants are still close by, and we wouldn't change a thing about our stay. If you're planning the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, get in touch with them beforehand. It's not a casual undertaking, and they'd be more than happy to offer advice.

Alan and Susie told us a lot about the local history, which made the stay extra special. There's plenty to see nearby and lots of walks to keep you busy all year, so this isn't only a summer destination. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with a lovely view over the countryside. Breakfast was delicious, made with quality ingredients including lovely homemade bread. We'll definitely look to stay here again on our next New Zealand trip.

A peaceful place near the town centre. We had a quiet room, a good English breakfast and fresh fruit, and Allan&Susie gave us a very friendly welcome.

After a day in the snow, the spa was just what we needed. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed, and we'll definitely return. Alan and Susie were warm and welcoming, made us feel at home, and provided everything we needed. The Lodge is cozy, comfortable, tidy and very clean. Breakfast was delicious, with cooked food and homemade bread. Thank you, Alan and Susie!
