Ruapehu Mountain Motel & Lodge

Kevin and Leigh were really friendly and helpful to deal with. We stayed three nights, and the rooms were fresh and clean with comfortable beds. Great value. We'll definitely stay here again!!! A+++

It's not the worst place I've stayed, and it has everything you need, but it feels pretty old and worn out. There's no aircon in the rooms. The wifi is so bad it's almost nonexistent, and mobile data doesn't work either because of the concrete walls. Room service was hit or miss, sometimes it happened and sometimes it didn't.

The rooms were warm, spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a ski holiday. There was a handy place to hang our gear, and the owners lent us a clothes drying rack so we could dry it in the sun for the next day. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was lovely and powerful, just right for relaxing after a day out. The service was fantastic and helpful. Thank you so much!

The shower head was fixed to the wall below neck height, and there were no outlets beside the bed. The whole place felt dirty and run-down. The curtains, floor, and walls were grimy, and the sheets and towels were stained. They did replace both after I complained. Breakfast was included, but dust floated on top of the water I poured into my glass. Very poor value. Avoid this motel if you can.
