BigSky Bed and Breakfast

BigSky was a lovely place to unwind after long days at Glide Omarama, where I was qualifying as a glider pilot. I stayed five days in April 2015, and Kay and Hank were such kind, cheerful hosts. Starting the morning around their breakfast table was a pleasure. Just tell them the day before what you'd like, and they'll have it ready. The rooms were quiet, new and thoughtfully designed, which makes sense with Hank working in construction. I slept and relaxed comfortably. BigSky is also a few minutes on foot from the local airfield and Omarama Glide, and from the restaurants, shops and bus stop in the peaceful town. I'd recommend it without hesitation. Thanks, Kay and Hank, for being so welcoming.

We had plenty of privacy even though the owners welcomed us into their home, and they were really friendly. The room and amenities felt hotel quality, with good Wi-Fi and plunger coffee. Breakfast was honestly the best of our trip. A really great B&B, and we'd definitely recommend it and come back.

A lovely room on the A2O ride, and Kay even caught up with us ten miles along the trail after we left a couple of apples in the room fridge. That's unreal service from great hosts. From Lake Ohau, it was a fairly easy day's ride despite the climb, with a fast second half. Omarama is a small town, but has a couple of good food options.

Fresh, clean and quiet, with good internet and Sky/Netflix. We've stayed with Kay and Hank again, and their hospitality and accommodation were excellent once more. Breakfast beats most cafes, and the coffee is top notch. We'd highly recommend this B&B for a stopover or a chance to relax while fishing, hunting or touring.
