The staff were friendly, and the shower facilities were great, with plenty of hot showers, mirrors and a hairdryer. There’s a heated pool and a well-equipped kitchen with fridges, grills, ovens and microwaves. The beach is right nearby with kayak hire, and it’s a nice walk into Paihia. The local town isn’t far either.

With everywhere booked up for Waitangi Day, I was lucky to find a room here. It was very clean, had everything needed for a comfortable stay, and was close to Waitangi Ground. The staff member who checked us in was welcoming, friendly and very professional. Sorry, I can’t remember his name, but we arrived on the 5Feb26 around 2-3pm. I’d highly recommend the place.

We loved our stay and will definitely come back. Our room was spacious and tidy, with 2 rms, a full kitchen, bathroom, lounge and air con. The TV had loads of channels and programs, and the wifi worked very well. The heated pool was amazing, even on slightly rainy days and late in the evening. Staff, including the receptionist and duty manager, were friendly and helpful. The little shop came in handy, especially for ice-cream and ice blocks on hot days. There’s also a playground, giant chess board and sandpit for kids. You can use kayaks on the water, launch from the park’s own boat ramp, and take walks and tracks with amazing views. 😊

There were lots of children of different ages when we visited in late December, and our kids joined in, playing at the playground and running around the camp. It’s very kid friendly, and the close-together sites give it a community feel. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the views and location are beautiful. Highly recommend!
