The units were well appointed and equipped, and ours was spotless when we arrived and cleaned daily during the stay. Barbara was friendly and helpful, which made us all feel very welcome. We were four adults and a baby, staying over Easter weekend 2018, and were impressed with the accommodation. It was peaceful and quiet, with magical views. The location is awesome, away from the busy main area but still a short walk to the centre and beaches. It’s a gem. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

The views across Opua/Russell Harbour were beautiful, and Pahia, Waitangi, and the Opua/Russell Ferry were all easy to get to. Barbara, the Manager, gave me a lovely welcome. My upgraded unit was spacious and well equipped, with a quiet atmosphere and a very comfortable bed. There’s also a lovely outdoor eating area behind the units, and the motel encourages guests to be mindful of the environment.

Barbara, the manager, made us feel welcome and was lovely to deal with, even through all our calls before check-in. We really enjoyed the views and facilities here. It’s a relaxing spot, about a 10-minute walk or 3-minute drive from the heart of Paihia. We’d highly recommend Pearl of they Bay for a getaway.

The room was spotless, right down to the shower glass and grout, with no sign of scale, calcium buildup, or mould. You can tell the Bali Hai Motel is carefully looked after. From our unit and the outdoor seating area we had lovely views over the bay and valley, thanks to the motel’s elevated position. Room 9 had a comfortable lounge with an L-shaped couch, TVs in both the bedroom and lounge, a well-organised kitchen, and a modern tiled bathroom with a glass shower. We parked under the unit in covered parking. It’s not on the waterfront, but restaurants and the water were just a 2-minute drive away. We’ll stay here again.

A friendly manager, a clean room, and comfortable beds and furniture. The view from the room was beautiful too. I really couldn’t have asked for more. It lives up to “Pearl of the bay”.
