The Bay views from the lovely veranda were a real highlight. The apartment was spotless and had quirky decor, and the thoughtful, welcoming owners supplied everything we needed to feel comfortable. We'd happily book again if we're back in the area.

The bed was comfortable and the apartment stayed lovely and quiet, up above the village bustle with great views across the bay. It was nicely equipped, including a coffee pod machine, coffee and tea, though there was no milk or dressing gowns. Getting in was easy with the door code sent by email, but there wasn't anyone to interact with.

Sharron was fabulous and easy to get hold of whenever we needed her. The place is up a bit of a hill, but town was still close enough to walk to and from without any trouble. We had a great stay at Sanctuary Palms!!!

For our first visit to the Bay of Islands, this was a great base. Paihia has plenty of bars and restaurants, all within walking distance of Sanctuary Palms. Check-in was simple, and we loved the comfortable lounge and kitchenette looking out over the bay. The bathroom had a spa bath, and the huge bed was very comfortable. We'd definitely book here again.

The owners were great to deal with and communication was good. The flat was lovely, with a well-equipped kitchen, a comfy bedroom and a great spa tub. We also enjoyed the amazing views and how quiet it was. Parking was easy, and it's only a quarter mile from the sites.
