The view over Enclosure Bay is what makes this place special. It shifts with the tide, so the kids could poke around the rock pools at low tide, then swim in the sheltered bay later. Bring water shoes, though, there are plenty of rocks. The layout worked brilliantly for more than one family: bedrooms downstairs, with a roomy open kitchen and entertaining space upstairs. We also had lovely weather most evenings and ate outdoors at the big table. It’s a peaceful, beautiful self-catering three-star stay, and there’s plenty to do nearby, including Stony Batter, Man O' War, and the Art Trails.

The place could’ve been cleaner when we arrived. The shower stopped working, but the caretaker did a great job arranging a quick repair.
