The cleanliness problems have been disappointing across more than one visit. On an earlier stay last year, in another room, there was visible human waste under the bed base and on the bathroom rails. This time, the rooms had a strong urine-like smell, and the carpets, walls, and beds felt damp. The kitchen floor was sticky and didn't seem to have been cleaned properly. I raised the smell with the owner, who said there couldn't be urine because no animals had stayed there and the property had previously been a house. Yet there are visible scratches on the walls and curtains that look consistent with cat damage. The overall hygiene and the way these concerns were handled need to improve so the accommodation meets acceptable standards.

The location is great, but I'd rather pay more for a nicer motel, and there are plenty along the same road. We chose this one for the pool, only to find it wasn't heated. There was no one at reception, the carpets felt damp, and the room smelled odd. We weren't given milk either. When I asked, she said there should be some in the fridge, but there wasn't. Other guests looked like beneficiaries and were loud in the morning.

We came down for the stock car champs with our young family, and the event was great. The room itself was good, but there were people drinking outside and using drugs. It wasn't a good experience with young kids, and we won't be coming back to this motel.

I was travelling alone and only found out on arrival that the place was being used for emergency accommodation for social welfare. The website didn't mention this, and I think it should have, especially for young women travelling alone.

There was plenty of parking, and the room was nice for one person, with a comfortable bed. They provided good tea bags, milk, a biscuit, and plenty of soap and shampoo. The bathroom has a shower over a spa bath, which could be difficult for older people. There was also a swimming pool, and other guests were using it, though I didn't.
