Room 29 was tired and outdated, and it got noisy from the room above. There was no air conditioning, just an electric fan in the cupboard and a wall-mounted radiant heater. The bathroom was dilapidated and had no fan ventilation. The beds and sheets were clean, and the location was convenient with good parking.

The staff were friendly and really helpful, and the room was clean, tidy, and good value for money. I'd have preferred a sink in the kitchenette. The bathroom could also use a quick lick of paint.

The one real plus was being right in the city centre. I stayed at alpha motor inn in Palmerston North with my family of three, and honestly, it was a terrible experience. There was no kitchen sink, drinking water, wifi, AC, or essential amenities. We also found bugs during our overnight stay. The wifi was such a problem that the television didn't work. Reception closed early and opened late, so there was no help available when needed. I wouldn't recommend staying here with children.

Parking right outside the room made unloading my bag in the rain so easy. The room was spotless, the bed was comfy, and it had all the amenities I needed. Friendly staff too. Great value, and I’d happily come back and recommend it.

I booked the accessible room by mistake online, but the staff were friendly and switched me to a standard room without any hassle. The TVs are impressively up to date and let you cast straight from your phone, handy for winding down. The room was comfortable and well equipped. A good, affordable stop for a night.
