Fitzherbert Castle Motel

Thank you, Andy, for helping me the other night. The room was easy to find, which made things simpler after a very long day. I'll be back. It was a spacious room, though there was nowhere to do the dishes. The bed was incredibly soft, like sleeping on a cloud, and I found a comfortable spot within five minutes. One of the best motels I've stayed in. I highly recommend it!

Everything felt calm, thoughtfully arranged and well cared for. The room was spotless, well maintained and comfortable, with immaculate amenities. The bed was wonderful, easily one of the most comfortable I've had while travelling. The friendly, welcoming service put me at ease as soon as I arrived. I was relaxed and very happy with my lovely stay at Fitzherbert Castle Motel. I'd happily recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to come back.

The price was very reasonable, and after the long drive from Rotorua it was such a nice place to arrive at. Though centrally located, the motel was quiet, and I slept soundly in the comfortable bed. We appreciated the pillow choices and three mirrors, especially with three women getting ready for an event. Breakfast was easy with the toaster, microwave and coffee plunger. There was also a desk and chair, plus a handy suitcase rack. It felt more like a hotel room, with a roomy wardrobe and an iron and ironing board. Opening the curtains onto a sunny morning and leafy trees was a treat. We'll definitely come back.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly. They seemed like the kind of people who make friends easily, and I was sorry to be staying only one night. The bed was super comfortable and kind to my disgruntled back 😊. The location is handy, with most places just a short drive away. I'm used to silence and double glazing, so there was some street noise, and I could hear other guests coughing. That's expected in most motels, but if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. I did, and was glad. Families can book adjoining rooms with an internal connection.
