We arrived late, but they still seated us in the restaurant for dinner even though it kept them past their usual closing time. The service was excellent and the food delicious. At reception, though, I was told there was no lift, so with my fractured ankle and moonboot I had to take the stairs to the next floor. The next morning, another receptionist pointed out a lift at the far end of the corridor. We stayed one night, and while the room was adequate, it felt a little expensive for what we got.

We had steak at the restaurant, and both meals were cooked perfectly. The staff were friendly, helpful, and provided great service. Our room was large, with two queen beds, immaculate modern furnishings, a spacious bathroom, and very comfortable beds. There’s an in-ground pool, though the weather wasn’t suitable for swimming, so we didn’t use it. We’d definitely come back and highly recommend staying here.

We stayed at Edit on both sides of our walk along the Queen Charlotte Track, and the location worked well. Dinner was great on both nights. Mel looked after us in the dining room, and was helpful and professional. We’ll definitely stay at Edit again if we’re back in Picton.

The location was great, but breakfast was practically nothing, and even the cheap dishes cost extra. Reception staff were cool. The mattress was awful: its springs were broken and it had collapsed, leaving us lying in big dips and on a slope for two nights.
