Budget place. The room was clean and the bed was good, but there was nowhere to put clothes except wall hooks, no wardrobe, drawers or shelves, so I lived out of my suitcase. The pub across the road played extremely loud music until 10pm, though thankfully it wasn’t every night.

Right in the middle of Picton, with cafes, restaurants and lots of nice shops close by. The room has what you need to rest and relax during a visit: beds, a bathroom, mini fridge and jug.

The new owners were lovely and accommodating, and everything in our super clean room worked properly. The kitchenette had enough cups, bowls, plates and the like. Shops and places to eat are nearby, and the ferry terminal is about an eight-minute walk. We only stayed one night before catching the ferry and would happily come back. Check-in was a snap since we’d booked online, and the owners were there when we arrived. I’d expected to arrive late, after 5pm, and tried emailing the hotel, but something on my end stopped the message going through. I also tried to find a Contact Us option on the hotel website, possibly in a tab, but couldn’t locate one. The hotel doesn’t use WhatsApp for phone messages, which isn’t unusual, and I didn’t look into other social media options. In the end everything worked out well. Thank you, and have a great summer!

Those flower gardens outside the windows are lovely. The room was clean and very comfortable.
