The bathrooms were good, and the shared area had everything helpful, including free tea and coffee and space to cook. Parking is available too. It’s very close to the airport, but you’ll need transport to get into the city. The rooms felt quite small and a bit stifling, with no AC or fan. You can’t really sit here and enjoy the view. For the room size, I found it overpriced.

We loved our stay and would come back. The Japanese massage we had as a birthday treat was amazing, and both the B and B and the attached massage rooms were reasonably priced. The views stretch over the rooftops and down the lake, and they’re beautiful. The welcome was warm, everything was very clean, and the shared lounge is a nice spot to meet other travellers. We had an en suite room, though shared facilities are also available.

Josef even collected me from the airport after my flight was delayed late into the night. We chatted regularly, and went skiing together on my last day. The lodge is in Frankton, a 10 minute walk from the bus station and local restaurants, and a 15 minute drive from town, with shuttle buses to the ski hills. My room was comfortable and had panoramic mountain and lake views. The hot tub looks out over the lake and is a must. I can’t wait to stay at Josef’s little piece of paradise again.

The owner was very welcoming, the place felt clean, and we enjoyed the spa. The parking setup could be improved, and the rooms were far too hot, so fans would help. They had coffee, tea and hot chocolate, but no complimentary milk, so we had to bring our own.
