The location has lovely views, and the water taxi makes getting into town easy. Since the Hilton is next door, various tours could pick us up there without a problem. Jean-Pierre was a thoughtful, charming host, with the comfort and service of his Four Seasons career delivered in a personal way. Our suite held treasures from his travels around the world and had first-class amenities. Chef Toni made a wonderful breakfast, and both she and Jean-Pierre shared helpful local tips and delightful conversation. Plan to stay a few extra days!

We spent four nights in Queenstown, and Lanah Residence became the real centre of the trip. The suite is about 70 sqm, an open, flowing space with a king bed facing a full-height glass window and uninterrupted mountain and lake views. At night it felt still and layered; in the morning, natural light filled the room gently. Each morning brought a carefully prepared European-style breakfast. Service was attentive but quiet, with a butler-like feel and no formality or intrusion. Talking with Jean-Pierre was another highlight. His calm manner and stories from decades in the hotel world brought something no design or amenity could provide. The connection felt personal and genuine. Created by Jean-Pierre Dosse, the residence reflects his long experience in global hospitality. Everything feels considered, from the restrained design to the small details. It feels more like a personal statement than ordinary accommodation, and its idea of luxury is precision, restraint, and intuition rather than excess. Queenstown may not have a queen, but this place has a quiet nobility. Highly recommended for anyone who values depth, detail, and a considered experience.

We visited NZ in March and spent three days at Lanah Residence. It was immaculate and lovely, with phenomenal lake views. Jean Pierre and Toni were phenomenal hosts, and breakfast was top notch. Such an incredible place and experience. We hope to visit again soon.

The mornings were a treat, especially with that lovely view from the window, and breakfast had plenty of choice, from fresh fruit and pastries to hot food if you wanted it. The Lanah Residence is also in a peaceful spot close to the main attractions, so it was easy to unwind after exploring. Our room felt spacious, spotless, and nicely decorated with a French and Asian influence. Jean Pierre and Elaine made us feel looked after from the moment we arrived, and Toni was part of the warm welcome too. We had such a good stay and will definitely be back.
