QT Queenstown

The room was the standout for us. We had a Lakeview Balcony Room, one of the higher-category options, and the decor, comfort and balcony views made the upgrade worthwhile. The room felt quiet despite the central location, making it a peaceful base for exploring Queenstown. Breakfast was strong, with both à la carte and buffet choices. One morning they gave us an exceptionally well-stocked breakfast box. QT's room design also felt polished and carefully done. The communal areas felt less impressive than the room, partly because the hotel was being extended during our stay. They lacked some polish and atmosphere for the price. It was a very good stay, but didn’t quite feel like a full five-star experience at that rate. We’d recommend it and be happy to return, especially once the extension is complete.

The rooms are lovely and the beds were comfortable. We also had friendly service at the bar, though our meal at Reds felt a bit like a frozen dinner and seemed to be missing care from the chef. The pastry chef was the real highlight, we looked forward to her little treats every evening. The location works well, and once the renovations are done and the climb up the hill from town is no longer necessary, it should be even better.

The team made the stay for us. Everyone was helpful, and Bruno and the concierge crew did a great job helping us plan around the area's changing weather. The location is excellent, and the rooms are spacious and pleasant. We had a great time here and would highly recommend the property.

We stayed four nights with our family of four, using two rooms. The rooms themselves were nice, and the Dyson hair dryer was a welcome touch, but the service fell short of what you'd expect from a five star hotel. We were given only decaf pods for the Nespresso machine, and the right equipment for the frother was repeatedly missing. Housekeeping mostly made the beds and brought towels. At breakfast there were some nice choices, including a juicer for fresh juice, but even ordering coffee was difficult. The restaurant was often empty, yet they seated us by a wall with no view. I can't recommend the hotel.
