Quest Queenstown

We loved the clean, comfortable apartment, and I've already booked a two-bedroom place for next year after staying in a balcony studio. Being beside the airport and mountains suited us. There is construction in front of the building at the moment, starting around 7am, but we didn't mind too much since we weren't coming to Queenstown to stay indoors. Parking is first come, first served, and we had no trouble finding a spot.

Small but roomy, and laid out really well. The apartment hotel was very clean, with everything we needed: a kitchenette, laundry and ironing facilities, a lounge and dining area, plus a bedroom and bathroom. Parking was available too. We had a lovely stay.

The apartment was clean and new, with a washer and dryer that made it very convenient for a short stay. It had the usual Quest facilities, though the lounge furniture looked better than it felt to sit on. Note that you have to request parking. There was a multistorey construction site about 10 metres from the windows, expected to be completed in 2027. Most of our stay was over the weekend, but on the one workday we were there, heavy metal work and concrete preparation began at 7am. The Quest booking site didn't mention the construction, and payment had already been taken two days before we arrived, so cancelling and arguing for a refund would likely be difficult.

The team was kind and accommodating when we discovered at check-in that our travel agent had not booked an accessible room, despite what we had expected. I use a wheelchair, and we had asked about accessible parking. The manager apologized, then immediately looked for a suitable room. None was free the first night, but an accessible room was available for nights two and three. Since we needed an early start for Milford Sound, he kindly offered to move our belongings while we were away. When we got back, everything had been transferred, and he'd also given up a permanent car park for us. My partner and I came to Queenstown in November 2025, at the end of a two-week New Zealand road trip before returning to Sydney. The manager was friendly, and the whole team was hospitable. The hotel isn't right in the city, but it's close enough to get there quickly, and the airport is very nearby. I'd absolutely recommend it for guests with mobility issues or a disability like mine.
