Ramada by Wyndham Queenstown Central

The reception staff were good, though staff who spoke English more clearly would make a big difference. The rooms are small, and the cleaning needs work: there was mould and brown sludge beneath the shower door, plus dust and lint from the dryer on the walls and skirting boards. There were scuff marks on the walls, and the shower leaked in one corner. The rooms also needed freshening up and better maintenance. At the high accommodation prices, the cleaning service should be better.

We stayed for two nights in January 2026 and had no complaints for the price. The hotel was very clean, with spacious rooms, crisp linens, fluffy towels on a working towel warmer, good ventilation and pleasant staff. This isn't the Ramada we know from the US. There's a Mexican restaurant on site, and a street with plenty of restaurants is about a 15-minute walk away. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

We had a 10/10 stay. The hotel is near the town centre, and trails are around a 10-minute walk away. The rooms were clean and the staff were really friendly! 🙂

The room was tiny for two people, with space taken up by a building storage cutout. The toilet seat was two inches smaller than the toilet. DISGUSTING!!! Floor-to-ceiling windows looked onto the stairwell, so there was no privacy, and traffic at the front of the building was noisy early in the morning. The stairwell light stayed on all night and lit up our room. Breakfast was minimal at best. I spoke to the front desk, but the male staff member was rude and obnoxious. I wouldn't call him a gentleman. Don't stay here!
