Waterfront Bach - Raglan Bach

We regretted not booking an extra night. It was such a peaceful place, tucked away from the busy surf town but still close enough to grab fish and chips or go to a local restaurant. The hosts welcomed me and my family warmly, showed us around, and then let us settle in. The apartment had everything we needed, including SkyTV, WiFi, Netflix, Scrabble, Monopoly and cards. There was even a small goldfish pond and a deck overlooking a calm fern and cobblestone garden beside the dining room. It was spotless throughout, from the bathroom and laundry to the kitchen, living room and bedrooms. We’ll definitely book with them again.

We’ve already stayed at Waimarie twice and are booking again, which says it all. We’re a small family of three from Wellington, and Tony and Sue take such good care of us, even taking us golfing. It’s a great wee place with plenty of room and privacy, close to everything in Raglan.

The unit was lovely, clean and nicely presented, but our break wasn’t relaxing at all. Major earthworks were happening right outside, with diggers and rollers waking us at 8 each morning. The noise was horrendous, and the house shook. Since the work had been going on for 11 months, the owners could have told us beforehand. It was in their control to let us know.

The location is ideal, right between town and the beaches. The hosts were lovely and went well beyond what we expected.
