Brylin Motel

One of the best spots in Rotorua. We were welcomed with kindness and shown to our room, very hospitable. There was plenty of room inside, and the rooms were awesome. Full kitchen, plus a bathroom with a huge shower and spa bath.

The staff were the best part. We found the windows open and quite a few mosquitos inside, a concern because my youngest has an allergy. The staff member brought fly spray straight away and was genuinely caring. He also offered to move my car to a much easier spot when I struggled with the tight car park. We arrived in Rotorua late, around 8 PM, without a booking, and the online process was quick and seamless. Instructions to get into our room came promptly, which was a relief after a long travel day. The spacious two-bedroom unit had everything we needed, comfy beds, a fully equipped kitchen, a spa bath and three balconies for fresh air and sunshine. It was remarkably quiet despite being central. Well located and excellent value, we'd highly recommend it.

Room T was spacious and very clean, and the air con helped us all get a restful night's sleep. The receptionist was friendly too. We'd been driving down from Auckland with the family on a really hot day, so we made an unexpected stop in Rotorua. We'd checked some other motels, but they didn't have air con. Brylin did, at a reasonable price. We'll come back next time we're in Rotorua.

The kitchenette didn't even have a wine glass. Compared with other motels, the place feels aged, and the drive-in parking is too small for modern cars. The carpet inside was fresh, but that was about it.
