The breakfast buffet each morning was a real treat, and having the lakeside amenities was a lovely bonus. Koura Lodge felt like such a gem, peaceful and serene, with lovely managers and hospitality. We stayed for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you, Koura Lodge!

The breakfast buffet was amazing, and we got to meet the chef who makes it each morning. We were so glad we booked this lodge for our two-night visit. It was our first lodge stay, and the feel of the place made Rotorua’s natural beauty even more apparent. A private five-star gem. We’d pick it over any hotel and stay here again.

We came for three days of mountain biking around the area, then relaxed in the peaceful lakeside spa and sauna in the evenings. The staff were wonderfully considerate, and the stay felt personal and intimate. Just a lovely experience in a beautiful spot.

The nights were quiet and peaceful, and it’s a great option if you’d rather stay outside the city centre. Rooms 1-3 are best for stepping right out to the lake and enjoying the view. Through the sliding doors you can see the black swans, and they come close to shore. There’s a shared kitchenette in the hall for heating your own food. The hosts are lovely, and breakfast is buffet style. It’s also perfect for kayaking or using the outdoor spa tub. Such a gorgeous lakefront lodge.

We spent one night in room 5 and loved the whole atmosphere of the lodge. The beds were amazing, the furnishings suited the style, and the robes made it feel like a special stay. Everything was so clean, breakfast was lovely, and the staff were great. I’d highly recommend it for a peaceful, unique getaway.
