Rock Solid was well placed for walking to the supermarket, I-site, and Kuirau park. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, and the guest kitchen had the basics we needed. Netflix was available in the lounge. Our bed was comfortable and the room had air conditioning, though it had no window.

The kitchen was good and had everything needed to use it. The shower was good and the toilets were clean. Staff were friendly, and for the price it was okay. The beds felt small for big people, though, and the thin walls meant we heard a lot of noise from next door.

Our 4-bed interior dorm stay was incredible. It was centrally located, close to transport options and amenities. The front desk staff were friendly, the dorm had a heater, and the toilets were clean. After a long day out, the complimentary tea bags in the kitchen were a nice touch.

The climbing gym inside was a fun bonus, and the location was great. Parking was cheap too. Only thing missing was air conditioning.

The bathroom was spotless, dry, and the toilet had no stains, which I really appreciated. My single room was simple and came with a portable fan. It’s also very close to the central mall and lots of places to eat.
