We stayed in unit 4 and loved how close the waterfront path and lake were, just a few steps away. We went there often and let our dog off the lead for a swim. The garden area had pretty foliage and sparrows chirping, though it wasn't fenced, so we couldn't let the dog out by himself. No problem for us. The family room was spacious, perfectly clean and had comfortable beds. There was a queen bed downstairs and a single upstairs, along with a WC and sink up there. The bathroom was a good size with a spa bath. The kitchenette was tiny but had all we needed, including a microwave and a small fridge-freezer, and it was nice to have the freezer. French doors opened onto a barbecue, table, chairs and umbrella. Silas was welcoming, friendly and generous with smiles. We highly recommend Cascades Lakefront Motel and are already thinking about another holiday there.

We spent four nights here with our dog, and the team were so friendly and hospitable. Our room was modern and well set up, with a TV, aircon and lovely lake views. Our eight month old puppy chewed one of the lovely sofa cushions, which we felt awful about. The manager and I talked it through and agreed on a fair, reasonable and considerate solution. I was really grateful, and they even invited us back. I can't say enough good things about the place, and I'd highly recommend staying here if you're in Taupō.

Everything made me happy, and the staff were great. Being pet friendly is a real bonus. I absolutely loved the lakefront unit and really enjoyed my stay.

We arrived at 3 pm to find the rooms clean and ready, with the lake just 5 meters away. Parking was right outside our room, and there was more across the way if needed. The shower had amazing pressure and was toasty warm, and we also had a spa bath. Highly recommend.

We were four adults travelling with our 15 year old cat, and the owners made us feel very welcome. The room was neat, clean and comfortable, and the spa pool was clean too. A great pet friendly motel. We'll definitely stay again, thank you.
