It’s a peaceful spot, about 7 km or a 10 minute drive from the city, with birdsong and rustling trees all around. The cottage in Acacia Bay feels warm and homely, and the property is beautifully laid out. You enter through an automatic gate with a pin, then follow a tidy, tree-lined driveway with rhododendrons. There are even two cute donkeys in a paddock. Inside, it was clean and had everything we needed to manage on our own, including a kitchenette, oven, fridge, microwave and washing machine. We didn’t need to ask for a thing. It really felt like a home away from home.
