We spent Valentine’s week in room 16. It was a good stay, but the room could use more upkeep. There was an unpleasant smell, and I could hear rain hitting the roof throughout the room. Staff could make guests feel more welcome with a smile. Thanks.

We stayed just one night in a spacious, clean and quiet upstairs corner room, with a brilliant view over Lake Taupo. Parking was a bit tight, and you can only reach the room by stairs. The young woman at reception was polite, helpful and great. I’d totally recommend this place, especially for a short stay like ours.

The motel is quiet, and it’s perfectly placed for walking into town. Rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, and the crisp linen was clean. The staff were great, and having a pool was a bonus.

Reception gave us a friendly welcome. The room was large, with a decent bathroom and a nice courtyard. The shower pressure was good, but the single bed was really uncomfortable. The TV was much too difficult to get working.

We stayed two nights and the service was awesome. The place was very clean, tidy and comfortable, and they replenished the fresh towels and amenities. My husband and I really needed to relax, and the hot tub was amazing. I nearly fell asleep in the spa while watching All Blacks vs France 🤣 It would help to have an umbrella fixed to the balcony table, so you could shelter from rain while having a cigarette. That won’t put me off coming back. I’ll just bring one next time!
