Lakeside Apartment Waimahana 1

The apartment was spacious and had good heating. There’s a pool and spa, and it’s right by the lake, so you can take a lovely lakeside walk into town.

The shops in Taupo are an easy walk away, as is Two Mile Bay Sailing Club, where we liked watching the sunset with a drink in the late afternoon. The apartments were lovely and clean, and everything seemed well managed. There's also a small heated pool and spa.

The booking mix-up I made was sorted out by the Taupo agent after I called and explained what had happened. What a relief, it could have been an expensive mistake and spoiled our holiday. I really appreciated how she handled it. We stayed in Unit 11 for a couple of nights with friends visiting from around the world. The place was spotless, with luxurious furnishings and a layout that worked perfectly. I've travelled a lot, and this was better than anywhere I've stayed before. We wished we had longer. The one letdown was that geothermal water made the spa too hot to use.

A spacious lakefront boutique apartment in an excellent spot. There was a comfortable bed, a full kitchen with cooking utensils and a dining table, plus resident parking and a sauna.
