You can see the sun fall at dawn from the really stunning lake view. It's a little farther on foot from the main area with food, though still central enough that everything is only a minute or two away. The unit has its own parking space, and there's laundry on site. Inside, the room is well insulated against temperature changes and noise, with blackout curtains and a pretty comfortable bed on the softer side. It also has aircon, a fridge and freezer, microwave, Sky TV, and lots of power plugs. The spa in the bathroom was nice, and they changed the towels daily. Room service put everything back as it was on day one, while leaving our personal stuff alone. It was tidy and had pretty much what we needed, including shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner.

The hosts were lovely, welcoming and accommodating, and nothing seemed too much trouble. We spent five nights over Christmas 2025. Our room was a great size, very clean, and had soft linen and a beautiful lake view. Aircon, Sky TV, and plenty of parking were nice extras. Great value for money, highly recommend. We'll be back!

We cooked one evening and ate out the next, and the apartment had just the right cooking facilities for our menu. It was cosy, comfortable, warm, and private, with a lovely view. Great accommodation for our mini break, and thanks to the team for making it such a perfect stay.

You can park inside the courtyard, and it's about a 20-minute walk to the town centre. The lake is just across the street, with lots of people swimming and playing along the bank. This is a small motel with a few rooms. You can see the lake from the first building, but not from the second. The rooms are a little old, though okay.

Sonya, the manager, was so friendly and helpful, always ready to do whatever she could for you. I really enjoyed staying at Sails on the Lake. It was clean and comfortable, and the location worked well: across the road from the lake, close enough to shops without being right in the hustle and bustle.
