We booked through booking.com for work and stayed one night. I checked in late and left early, so I didn't see anyone. The next day I called and paid over the phone. My card was charged and I got an invoice, but they told booking.com I hadn't shown up, so I was charged again. That's two $280 charges for one night. I complained through booking.com. Its policy says they need to contact the hotel and get approval before processing a refund. That was a week ago, and I also received an email saying the refund couldn't be processed because I'd 'cancelled last minute'. I've called reception more than ten times and haven't got an answer. I left a message, but nobody has called back. I won't stay here again.

My room was clean and good, but it was on the first floor right above the entrance. People came back from a night out at 1am and were noisy until 4am, banging doors and talking loudly. I didn't get much sleep.

The location was awesome, and the house cleaning lady was lovely. The place felt tired and damp, with very dirty carpets, a broken toilet seat and a hole in the bathroom wall. My room wasn't serviced, so I had to swap towels with her each day. Reception was never there when we needed help. With a revamp, this place could be fantastic.

The room was nicely appointed and good value, with a very comfortable bed. The washer and dryer were a bonus. But there was no air conditioning, it wasn't soundproof, and the place wasn't wheelchair friendly. There is a lift inside, but the entrance has steps, so it wasn't useful. We were in a first-floor room and there was a party on the landing. I won't stay again.

The front desk staff were extremely helpful, and we had a great stay. Our room was spacious, clean and tidy. Security was brilliant, with keyed access and a secure, undercover car park. Shops were close, but we were far enough away from the crowds. It was a leisurely five-minute stroll to the restaurants and bars, and just a two-minute walk to the beach. Thanks for hosting us, see you again soon.
