The pool was a highlight: warm, lovely to swim in after the sea, and clearly well looked after. My room also had a great view of the mount, though I can't say if every room does. The air conditioning helped a lot on hot nights, and the staff were kind and friendly, which matters to me. The location was handy, with the main surf beach not far away and Pilot Bay right across the road. The place was clean, with a nice pool and gym and everything I needed for a Mount stay. I really liked being here and would recommend it, but the wifi and a few maintenance issues could be better. There were things like the bathroom wall and broken outdoor tables that needed attention. The wifi kept dropping out, sometimes vanished from the scan on all my devices, and was too slow for YouTube or even sending a WhatsApp message at times. I ended up using mobile data, though I don't really like doing that. I also like sending travel videos to friends and unwinding with one now and then, so it was frustrating.

The apartment was clean and modern, and the reception guy was genuinely friendly and helpful. It was well equipped, with a dishwasher plus a washer and dryer if you need them. The pool was lovely and the water was warm. Shops, the beach and the bay on the other side are all very close. Still, a few things need work. There's no Netflix, and we couldn't cast a phone to the TV, which felt unacceptable for somewhere meant to be four stars. Air conditioning is only in the living room, not the bedroom, and that bedroom window faces other apartments. The bathroom was okay, but the shower was far too small for my husband. The apartment is only serviced at checkout, not daily. It was a decent stay overall, but these things could be improved.
