Westhaven Motel

We had a huge music group, 41 students and 4 teachers, and Westhaven Motel worked perfectly for all of us. The rooms had plenty of space, comfortable, well-arranged beds, a fridge, cooking facilities, and lots of kitchenware. They were clean too. Once the students were asleep, it was wonderfully quiet, with the sound of waves along the shore. Debbie was a fabulous host and made sure we had everything for a great stay. We'll be back next time we're in the Bay of Plenty.

Pilots Bay is right across the road, and it was lovely to walk there in the evenings and watch the cruise liners come into port. The main street, with its cafes and shops, is close by, and the Maunga and hot pools are an easy walk. The rooms were clean, fresh, and tidy, though there was some general wear and tear, and they have a very 70s feel. The service was outstanding, everyone was incredibly friendly, and nothing was a problem. They welcomed our dog too. It's hard to beat a family business with generations living there and still passionate about looking after guests. Highly recommend!

I've got nothing but praise for this place. It was absolutely amazing, and Debbie, you're a rock star. Our pooch, an XL Mastiff Great Dane X, was made just as welcome as we were. The place was cleaner than clean. Thank you so much for the fabulous hospitality...

I stayed for one night and was really impressed. Our unit was immaculate and had everything we needed, plus more. It was quiet and handy to everything, and our hosts were some of the nicest people I've met. They were welcoming, helpful, and informative. I'd definitely stay again.
