The kitchenette had more equipment than some apartments we’ve stayed in, and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean, with plenty of space, and the bathroom was large with quality towels. We’re on an extended trip, and this has been the nicest small motel so far. They do have an interesting rule about not cooking anything smelly in the room 🤷♀️.

We left something behind after checking out, and the staff went out of their way to contact us and mail it from the post office. Thank you! We stayed in January with our family of four, and the room was just the right size. It was clean, the location was great, and the staff were friendly. We’d come back.

Mel and Mark gave us a warm welcome at Arran Motel in Te Anau. The room was spacious and spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower pressure was amazing. Everything for self catering was available, though town was close enough for an easy walk if we wanted to eat out. We had a fantastic stay.

We’ve stayed here several times over the last two years, and the rooms have always been clean, tidy, and warm. It’s a quiet place if you like being away from the bustle, but town is just a short walk away. Mel & Mark are lovely hosts and an absolute treasure to deal with. I totally recommend staying here.

The rooms are large, very clean, and easy to warm with the heaters. There are no stairs, and the kitchenette even has wine glasses along with a microwave 😬. It’s about a four minute walk to Fjordland Centre. The city centre is a short drive, or you can enjoy a walk beside the lake when the weather’s warm.
