Tukare Lookout

We left feeling rested and inspired, and would consider coming back. Tukare Hideaway has a rare mix of thoughtful design and calm, with lake and mountain views that made waking up feel grounding. The space is minimal, warm, beautifully considered, and fully equipped for a slow stay. We especially liked the well-stocked kitchen, the honey, and the fresh local produce. Mornings with mist over the lake and evenings under the stars were unforgettable. There were a couple of disruptions: some helicopter activity from a nearby helipad and noise from a wedding party on the first night. They did take away from the experience, though hopefully they were one-off occurrences. It’s still a place that encourages you to slow down without trying too hard.
