Blue Dolphin Motel

The location was good, but the way staff spoke to us spoiled our first impression and left us upset for the rest of the day. They shouted at us about our vehicle speed, even though we had driven into the property at less than 10 km/h. I’m not sure why they did that, especially as we couldn’t see any speed limit signs.

We only stayed a night after the brew on the bay beer festival, and I’d come back for a longer visit. It’s close to everything, clean and well kept, and the owners are lovely. Nicest motel I’ve stayed in.

I stay here about once a week when I’m working away, and it’s good value. There have always been rooms available when I’ve wanted one, with different sizes to choose from. The rooms are a decent size, and every one I’ve stayed in has had cooking facilities, a TV, fridge, sink, shower and couches. The WiFi vouchers come with the room, too. The beds are a good size and really comfortable. After a hard day’s work, I always get a good night’s rest. The owners are friendly every time. I’d recommend staying here.

The room was clean, good value for the money, and in a convenient location, but we had a horrible experience with the service. I was there with my family and four kids. After showers, the room steamed up, and nobody had told us to open the windows while showering. An elderly man came to look into it, but his words and actions were utterly disrespectful. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for polite customer service.
