It was sunny and comfortable, with all the modern conveniences. Each bedroom has its own ensuite and TV, plus a fridge and some starter supplies in the cupboard. The home sits among rolling downlands with lovely mountain views. It’s 16 km from Timaru and 9 km from Pleasant Point.

The owner was kind and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. From the bedrooms and throughout the house, the magnificent views take in both Mount Cook and the ocean. We’d highly recommend staying here.

The freshly made breakfast came with a priceless view. We were warmly welcomed by the lady of the house, then shown to a lovely room with a very clean bathroom. Definitely five stars!

Elaine made us feel so welcome at Solace, and we enjoyed chatting with her over a delicious breakfast. Our comfortable rooms were spotless and tastefully decorated. Outside, the rolling hills stretch toward the sea and mountains on the horizon. Thank you, Elaine!
