So relaxing, super clean, and beautiful, with unreal views and really comfy beds. The whole place feels peaceful and high-quality. Amazing vibe and a perfect location. 100% recommend.

Grant and Maree were so accommodating, and Pukawa Villas made for a fantastic stay. The beautiful accommodation is right next to a great restaurant. There's a pool and tennis court with views over Lake Taupo, and the lake views from the place are fantastic.

We loved watching the view over Lake Taupō change through the day, then seeing the sunsets. It was some of the most stunning scenery we've experienced, completely unobstructed. The villa was spacious, spotless and thoughtfully set up to make the most of those views. Everything felt considered, and waking up to the lake each morning was unforgettable. Pukawa Villas is peaceful and private, yet close enough to explore the Taupō region. It exceeded what we expected and felt like a hidden gem. We were already planning another visit as we left. If you want a stay with world-class lake views, this is a must.

This was our favorite place to stay in New Zealand, and we extended our visit after the first night because we loved it so much. We came for the Tongariro alpine crossing hike, and the gorgeous setting made a memorable end to our trip. We watched the sunrise over the lake from our private balcony, with birds singing and flying around. Grant and Maree know the area inside out and checked every detail of our hike plans, as well as our route to Auckland Airport afterwards.
