Staying in this Lockwood home was relaxing, with natural wood all around. Our room was special, and the bathroom's skylight made it stand out. The host family treated us like valued guests, offering tea, breakfast, and conversation. The beds, linen, and toiletries were well above ordinary. Excellent value, and much nicer than a motel.
This homestay has a quiet garden guests can use, and the rooms and bed were clean and cozy. The family living there are lovely, and I enjoyed chatting with them while they cooked dinner for me. The private bathroom was a highlight, with a bathtub under a glass ceiling where you could have a glass of wine beneath the stars. I'll try to stay here again next time I'm around Picton.
Our ferry was delayed, but our kind hosts helped us get to Mulberry House late at night. Breakfast the next morning was a lovely treat, and they even drove us to the Marina to have a look around before taking us back into town. We loved our relaxing, comfortable stay and highly recommend them.
The hosts are lovely and ready to help with any questions, and you can see how much care went into setting up this apartment. It's tidy, comfortable, and has everything you'd ask for, plus more. I travel often for work and holidays, and it's rare to find a place this special. I'd recommend it for a Picton stay, even just one night.
