Our one-bedroom apartment was bright and lovely, though there wasn’t much of a view. The kitchen was nice and had a dishwasher, and having a washing machine in the apartment was useful. The upstairs room was locked since we’d booked a one-bedroom place, which was fine.

We slept well in a comfortable bed, and the room stayed quiet and warm thanks to good insulation. Our studio was well equipped and laid out, with a roomy bathroom and even a bath. The lake views are beautiful, and the location is excellent. Staff were friendly, polite and professional, and communication was clear. We’d happily stay again.

The lake and mountain views are magnificent, and most of Wanaka’s main sights are just a 2-10 minute walk away. It’s a well located hotel with nice rooms and plenty of amenities. I’ve given four stars because it felt rather expensive for what it is, though that seems to be the going price in this region.

We arrived without a room because of a reservation mixup. While we ate dinner, the hotel, Darren I think, quickly found us a room at another hotel and refunded the difference. It could’ve made for a rough night, but we still got to enjoy our time in Wanaka. I imagine staying here would be great, since they clearly care about their guests.

We’ve stayed here twice while travelling, and it’s just right for a night or seven. The Boss was delightful and couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommend.
