The room had lots of thoughtful extras, including fresh milk, local information, and free postcards. It was spotless, and the hosts were friendly. One of the best motels I’ve stayed at. Highly recommend.

That road closure left us needing a place in Ward, and we were lucky to meet such a welcoming couple. The room was lovely and had all we needed, including a stove, pots, and utensils. We’d driven down from Auckland in a new car, left at 4am, and spent four hours on the ferry before reaching Picton at 7PM. Then, on the way to Christchurch, a truck and trailer caught fire and the road was shut. Thanks so much, guys. Highly recommended.

A spacious room with a kitchen at a great price made this a good stop between destinations. The property was tidy and very well maintained.

We got stuck out in the weather at 8pm, so this ended up being a last-minute call. The heater was already on when we arrived, and the room was clean and comfortable. We had a lovely stay, with fantastic service from the wonderful staff. Thanks! I’d definitely come back if I pass through again, and highly recommend it 😁
